About Bhugol

One Earth. Many ways to explore.

Bhugol is an invitation to explore our world. This browser experience brings Geographic and Political perspectives into one interactive Earth, with a calm view and controls that stay out of the way.

Explore with purpose

Drag the Earth to change your view. Scroll or pinch to zoom, switch perspective, or use Reset to return to the initial view. With the Earth focused, use the arrow keys, + / −, or Home to reset.

Geographic view shows generalized land and seafloor relief. Political view uses the accepted Bhugol palette to distinguish countries and territories. The camera stays in place when changing perspective.

A reference, with its limits visible

Bhugol Web V1 uses frozen reference data. Geographic relief comes from GEBCO 2026 at a disclosed display sampling. Political geography comes from Natural Earth, using its default de facto representation. Boundaries are generalized and do not determine sovereignty. Colours carry no political meaning.

Sun and Moon directions, lunar phase and daylight use an Earth-centred astronomical model at the device clock's UTC instant. Camera controls change only the inspection viewpoint. This is not a precision eclipse or local sky tool. The stars, Milky Way haze, Moon markings and clouds remain procedural illustrations; the atmosphere is an approximate optical treatment.

Unknown is not zero. Illustrative is not live. Replay is not observed. This experience acquires no live weather, storm, lightning, seismic, aircraft or satellite observations.
